First Day of Film

 Today, September 29th, we began filming the commercial. The location today was set in the library and the main focus was on one character, Janiya. The props assembled for today were the Macbook, IPad, and IPhone. Since one of the props were forgotten, only a portion of our commercial was filmed. Today we focused on only Janiya’s shots and the next filming day will focus on mine.The storyboard that we created assisted me in understanding every scene that was being recorded. Today I stood behind the scenes and helped with anything I could. The first scene was scripted as Janiya entered the library. For this part I directed the individual to come into the library once Riana, our camera woman, was ready to record. This segment required about 4 clips of her walking from the door to the desk. Each of the clips will transition into one another. The next shot was Janiya at the desk with the apple products. I placed all of the Apple products onto the desk and Raina shot a close up of the items. The final scene for Janiya’s segment was to Facetime me. I went to the other side of the library to call her and Raina recorded her utilizing the IPad to call me. We successfully completed all of Janiya’s scenes within an hour. We then uploaded all of the scenes to a laptop. The next filming day the focus will be on utilizing AirPods on the track. The one thing we could have improved on today was staying on task. Other than that, we had a very productive and fun filming day.
